"I do what i want."
I wore this costume last weekend at Melbourne's Oz Comic-con, I was part of a mixed matched avengers team featuring the beautiful
Black Widow and super handsome
This costume was particularly difficult for me, I should have given myself more time than the two weeks I left for it ;; I had quite a lot of trouble drafting as I hadn't done panelling or darting before and a 21 panel jacket (and 25 piece sleeves) probably isn't the easy project to start on ;; though through the process of making this costume I developed my skill set a great load so I think my costumes will start getting better and better!!
The fabrics were also very hard to source, I ended up with 5 different kinds of Vinyl's/Pleathers! Including a type of pleather used to line the interior of cars~ It took several trips to ALL the fabric stores before I could find the right green, all of them just didn't quite fit orz ;; I ordered 10m of the trim online and it wasn't enough D: so I had to find and buy it here for a very expensive price to finish the costume T___T
I am really proud of my armour actually, it was a new method of constructing for me but after a little trial and error I was very pleased with the finished result, though I cannot take all the credit for the armour, the biggest thanks goes to a dear friend
for help constructing and teaching/painting with me, I owe you a lot
After the con we had a brief freezing cold shoot outside the convention with
, thanks so much for doing it and processing so rapidly, you are amazing
I couldn't have done this costume without the motivation from my epic team! These really are costumes we can all be proud of!
Skipping backlog to upload this~ will post more info on the costume in later uploads! Will have finished weapon soon too!! Loki Laufeyson
(and a big thanks for the wig and editing help! Can never thank you enough ;; ) Clint Barton
